This reduces the likelihood of stripping coatings, forcing water beneath tiles or damaging fragile surfaces such as older concrete tiles and fibreglass components.

The exact product selection can therefore vary between roofs. A lightly soiled commercial roof may need a biodegradable detergent and a controlled rinse, while established lichen or moss may require a compatible biocidal treatment followed by a carefully managed follow-up process. We consider the surrounding landscaping, access arrangements, drainage, weather conditions and any environmental restrictions before application.

After treatment, we explain any expected residual staining or gradual weathering of dead organic growth. Cleaning does not make a roof permanently maintenance-free, but using material-compatible, biodegradable detergents and targeted biocides helps achieve a thorough result while limiting chemical use and protecting the roof and its surroundings.
